Okay, so we’re not the chosen ones…

But, our good friends The Luxury have been given the wild card spot for WBCN RUMBLE finals this Friday, April 24th @ Middle East Downstairs. So, be sure to go out and support them! We had an incredible time playing this year’s RUMBLE and many thanks to Anngelle w/Boston Emissions and all the great bands we met through out the contest. In other news, we’ll be playing @ O’Briens in Allston, MA on SATURDAY, MAY 2ND w/Growlers. Those guys are sick and we’re very much looking forward to rocking out with them. We hope to see you there.

WBCN RUMBLE Semi-Finals 4/17/09 – It was a great night!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us at The Middle East Downstairs for the final night of the WBCN RUMBLE Semi-Finals. Though our time slot was at 12:30am, our crowd was HUGE and loud as shit for us! We couldn’t have asked for more. In the end, The Dirty Truckers were picked as the winners of the night and will now advance onto the finals with Gene Dante an the Future Starlets. But Gravehaven still has a chance to capture the wild card spot. So tune into WBCN’s Boston Emissions show this Sunday, April 19th @ 10pm to hear if we are the chosen ones…

Semifinals are on Friday the 17th…

We were mistaken on the date below…Okay, so we jumped the gun a bit, but we are excited okay? WBCN Semifinals with Gravehaven will be Friday, April 17th. We will be closing the show so it should be a drunken mess. Come hang, alright? Alright. Here are some pics that some lovely person took of us at the last one. I really dont know who it is. So if your out there, please let me know, and Ill give you some credit!

WBCN Tonight

Tune in to Boston Emissions tonight on WBCN to find out who will be moving on as the wildcards in the 2009 Rumble! I believe they will also be announcing the finalized dates for the two semi finals, so tune your ears in and make sure you save the date!

So far, the talent in this years Rumble has been immaculate! Everyone brought their fuckin A game. Congratulations to The Luxury, The Dirty Truckers, Sarah Rabdau and the Self Employed Assassins, Gene Dante and the Future Starlets, and The Lights Out! We’re looking forward to a couple of kick ass nights.

Gravehaven Wins Round One!

Hey everyone, we’re moving on to the next Round in the WBCN Rock n Roll Rumble! Thank you SO much to everyone who came out and supported us at the show. You were amazing and truly made it easy for us to rock out. I hope to see all of you helping us again as we go for another win in Round 2 on April 16 or 17. Dates haven’t been set yet, so check back here soon and we’ll let you know!

Also, thank you to Angelle, all the judges , The Minus Scale, Apple Betty and Eksi Ekso. It was a great show all around.

Gravehaven is Ready to Rumble

Hey guys and gals! Steve here lounging around in my pj’s eating cinammon rolls, resting up for tomorrow night’s WBCN Rumble at the Middle East Upstairs. We have a pretty strong set list for Monday that we’ve been working on for a while. A few songs from Calico and some pretty catchy and high-energy new ones too.

We’re so stoked to be a part of this year’s Rumble lineup… such an ecclectic group of bands this year and the press we’ve gotten as a result has been great. So far, the mood between the other bands has been completely devoid of competitiveness which is great. We’ve never really viewed music as a competition and we’re not very good at puffing out our chests either. The best we can hope for is to play a sick show on Monday and spend each night this week checking out some of Boston’s greatest acts.

Soon, I will get up from the couch with the Steve-shaped imprint and will get ready to check out the Rumble’s opening night. In case you somehow don’t know yet, Gravehaven is playing night 2 (tomorrow, manana, Monday, April 6th) at 9:30pm. Yeah, yeah, it’s a Monday, but who cares? The show’s early and we need your support to help us put on the best show we can. See you there…
